Students enrolled in A.T.P. will be allowed to showcase their talents during our Play Performances held at theVon Braun Center Playhouse and other opportunities.
The Advanced Teen Program is to prepare students who are considering pursuing a college degree or a career in the entertainment industry. Our focus is on theatre, television, and film. Three classes currently make up the A.T.P. and are designed to give students the tools they need to compete in the collegiate or commercial theatrical arenas. Better your chances of receiving drama or musical theatre scholarships, or that special ROLE that you desire!
A.T.P. Technique & Monologues:THURSDAYS, 5:00pm-6:00pm - Set as a master class, the first half will focus on learning and utilizing the Meisner technique, speech, and character development. The last half will allow the students to apply the technique to monologues and memorization. Those enrolled will learn to choose monologues and work on audition pieces that are best suited for each student individually.
A.T.P. Technique & Scene Study: THURSDAYS, 5:00pm-6:00pm - This class will center on how to work with a partner and keep connected to a scene. Each week students will be given a scene and a scene partner. Together they will learn and portrait the Meisner technique, character development, relationship dynamic and subtext.
A.T.P. Marketing Yourself 101:SATURDAYS, 11:30am-12:30pm - Ever wonder what college theatrical departments, directors, or casting agents are looking for? This class is designed to teach you just that! Priority will be placed on agency, college scholarships, and auditions. We will cover subjects such as the do’s and don'ts of auditioning, taking a great headshot, and how to send the perfect cover letter. Scouting out the competition, overcoming it, and standing out in the crowd are some of the goals for this class.
